This lower jaw is from the species Lytoloma elegans, a giant Sea Turtle. Found in the Khouribga phosphate beds in Morocco. Specimen is in excellent condition with only the left and right side being re-attached where they are joined. Just look at how big it is in my hand!! Almost 6" by 5 1/4" wide. Unidentified reptile partial jaw from the Cretaceous of Kourhibga, Morocco. Jaw has 8 teeth. A little bit of gluing on the very end to stabilize the bone structure. This very large and museum quality, Alligator vertebrae was found in the world famous Leisey Shell Pit, Ruskin, Hillsborough County, Florida. Mostly mammal material was found at this site. The shell pit is now closed and is under water. Some of the most spectacular fossils from the early Pleistocene were found here.
