U.S. Fossil Shark Teeth

Isurus hastalis, Miocene in age, Calvert Formation, Calvert County, Maryland. A very large and complete specimen. Size of specimen is 2.78" long.

Here we have a 2.15" South Carolina Parotodus benedini. Awesome; two toned colored enamel, solid root with just a hint of feeding wear to the tip. This is an all around nice specimen. I only find a couple of these a year. Ref. SHK0024

Awesome Carcharocles angustidens (Summerville area of South Carolina.1.79" long, it is considered small. Stunning black tans, a hint of yellow that turns into a gray/blue!! Crisp serrations and cusps with only minor feeding wear to the serrations. Ref.- SHK0028

This is one of Lee Creeks rarest!!  Paratodus benedini, the False Mako shark. The edge of the tooth is razor sharp and the enamel is super glossy, cream/tan color. I believe this tooth to be a secondary tooth. The root has not fully developed. This is also a very large specimen at 2.48" long. And very hard to obtain anymore. Ref.- SHK0033

This is another stunning colored, Carcharocles angustidens from the Summerville area of South Carolina. The blade is a cream-ish tan color with a light brown bourlette the flows completely around the tooth. Again, awesome preservation on this beautiful specimen!!
